About UWIP
Welcome to our website!
The Undergraduate Women in Physics group at Princeton (UWIP) was formed in Spring of 2018. The goal of UWiP is to offer mentorship, academic enrichment, and a welcoming community to students majoring in physics or related fields. We invite all students, regardless of gender identity/expression, race, socioeconomic background, and/or sexual orientation, to become members. As a joint collaboration between students in physics and the astrophysical sciences, we aim to provide guidance in order to aid students in their strides to achieve their academic, personal, and professional goals.

On our website you can find more information on what we do, including upcoming events, such us the study breaks, Q&A panels, and the annual Junior Paper Symposium.

Princeton students can join UWIP using the form below to gain access to our TeamDrive. In here you can find a directory that has all of the member's names, majors, class years, and summer plans/previous summer experiences; folder for study resources; our board meeting notes; course selection advice; and more.
Feel free to email us (uwip@princeton.edu) if you have any questions :)
Things We Do
Mentorship Program
The Princeton UWiP Mentorship Program provides support to underclassmen, as well as opportunities for upperclassmen and graduate students to speak about their experiences with students interested in physics and related fields. The keystone of our program is mentor-mentee pairings, which enables one-on-one mentorship for undergraduates in physics and related fields. Past events have included multiple mentorship dinners, during which students in all class years can connect and support each other.
Study Breaks
We host monthly study breaks with tasty treats! Past study breaks have had snacks from Kung Fu Tea, Jules Pizza, Terhune Orchard, Mamoun's, and more.
Study and Support Session
Join us to socialize and work on psets with your classmates! We hold our weekly study and support sessions every Saturday from 1PM to 3PM. Sign up for the upcoming session here: https://forms.gle/SeHyJUS7hktJkuuXA

Outreach
We are currently involved in developing a number of outreach projects! If you are interested in getting involved or have any ideas, please contact us!
Junior Paper Symposium
Every Spring we organize a Junior Paper Symposium to give juniors a chance to present their research from the Fall in quick talks. For presenters, this is a great opportunity to practice talking about their research and get feedback from graduate students. For underclassmen, this is an opportunity to learn about Junior Papers and start thinking about what they might want to work on.
